I am not sure why, but I am in a fantastic mood this morning. It stormed last night, so everything is wet and the air has this thick "alive" feeling to it. I am very happy to be alive at this time to experience it.
It was raining last night here, too. This was part of my goodnight mail to Diana:
If your name could be a sound, it would be the sound of the rain on the root and the cricket chirping outside my window tonight... soft, gentle, and comforting.
It was not quite the exhilarating effervesive liveliness of of a storm, but it was lively in its own sutle way.

Three cheers for being alive!
Also, there were thousands of fireflies out in our backyard last night. It was quite remarkable.
